Coventry Copsewood Football Club was established in 1922 as Peel Connor. Over the years, the club underwent several name changes, including Magnet FC, GEC (Coventry) FC, GPT (Coventry) FC, and Marconi (Coventry) FC, before adopting its current name in 2005.
The team plays its home games at Allard Way, a ground with a capacity of approximately 2,000 spectators. The venue features a small stand and a covered shelter behind one goal. Additionally, the club boasts a two-story clubhouse shared with other sports clubs that form part of the Copsewood Sports and Social Club.
Currently, Coventry Copsewood competes in the Midland League Division One, which is at Step 6 of the English football league system. The club is also home to one of the largest junior sections in Coventry, reflecting its strong commitment to youth development.
Throughout its history, the club has achieved notable successes, including winning the Midland Combination Division One in the 1996–97 season and securing the Coventry Charity Cup multiple times. They have also participated in the FA Vase, with their best run reaching the Second Round in the 2001–02, 2010–11, and 2016–17 seasons.
Coventry Copsewood FC continues to play a significant role in the local football community, fostering talent through its extensive junior programs and maintaining a presence in regional competitions.
